DIY or Call Us?

You can safely do two things before calling us: check that the keypad is getting power by looking for any illuminated keys or screen, and verify the gate operator itself has power by checking the breaker and the operator’s power switch. Those two checks save time and help us diagnose faster when we arrive. What we do not recommend is opening the keypad housing or wiring in a replacement yourself. Elite keypads carry low voltage, but a mis-wired splice can damage the operator’s control board, and a shorted wire can leave the gate stuck open or closed until the board is replaced.
